Description
An accident occurred upon the Duluth South Shore and Atlantic Railway at Humboldt station on the 21st day of October 1887 at 1250 o'clock P.M. caused by: Brakeman named James Watson getting caught between a platform car loaded with lumber and a box car trying to uncouple them while in motion. Lumber projected over of platform and cuaght his head. This was not reported at the time as it was throught he would be around in a week, but it was 5 weeks before he reported for duty.
