Description
This village is one of the liveliest places in Houghton county. Unlike the other towns it does not depend on the acitivity of the cooper market, as the product of the Sturgeon River Lumber company's first class saw and planing mills finds it way through the medium of the DSS&A into the Marquette iron region and by water transportation to the ports along the chain of great lakes.
