Description
The following is taken from a transcription of Martha Baldwin’s diary (1858-1859). Illegible sections of the original text are noted as follows: ______. A parenthetical question mark (?) follows words in the original text that were not completely legible but were still transcribed. July 30. Well I went on horseback to call upon Em Snow to night. Came home by way of Birmingham. Got the Pontiac Gazette and contrary to my expectations there on the second page was the title “Advancement” and only altered once and that slightly. Help me to be thankful for the favors bestowed and may I use them right.
