Illegible sections of the original text are noted as follows: ______. A parenthetical question mark (?) follows words in the original text that were not completely legible but were still transcribed. past five, about then back ________ town. Well I ought not to say anything. I should not do as well were I in the same situation. December 18. At home all day. Had some _____ for a poor woman, one who is poor indeed. Took her some flour and milk this morning. December 19. At church have heard two good sermons and some beautiful _______.
