Illegible sections of the original text are noted as follows: ______. A parenthetical question mark (?) follows words in the original text that were not completely legible but were still transcribed. night I stayed with Gus. Little did I think as we kneeled in prayer that morn that it was the last time I should ever hear that voice petitioning to our Heavenly Father for the daily blessing. O may the widow and the fatherless be sustained by the faith which they profess to bear the trials with which they are visited. And may they look up to that greater parent who has the power to comfort.
