Description
This view of Francis Lake Shore Park Subdivision was taken looking west from Kercheval around 1923. Note the outhouses! This subdivision illustrates the changing use of agricultural farmland to residential neighborhoods that began in the 1920s. Interrupted by the Great Depression, housing growth again resumed in the 1930s and 1940s.
