Description
At the time of this photograph, Cutler and Savidge had three camps supplying timber to mills in Grand Haven, Spring Lake and Ferrysburg. The firm had its own lumber vessels to sail the lakes and rivers. Michigan’s lumber boom began to die down late in the nineteenth century and the company went out of business in 1904.
