Photograph of Octagon House on South Washington Avenue at Kalamazoo, SE corner, Lansing. Built in 1854 by Col. Whitney Jones, State Auditor General for two terms, 1855-1858. When Mr. Arbaugh acquired the property in 1902, he moved the house to the rear of the property and used it as a warehouse until it was razed c. 1929.
