Description
Photograph of the east side of the 200 block of Stephenson Avenue, facing north. William H. Jenkins opened his hotel in early November, 1881. The three-story frame hotel was considered among the city's finest, with rooms renting for $2.00 per day in 1885. The fourth building from the corner, advertising dry goods and clothing, was probably Charles E. Parent's store.
