Newspaper clippings on various topics (1935-1936, 1938). Page is hand numbered ""56"". -- 1935 - Article on Edward J. Hall, who retires as superintendent of Calumet public schools. --1935 - William E. Trebilock appointed superintendent of Calumet public schools, succeeding Edward J. Hall. -- Dec. 9, 1936 - Calumet and Hecla Consolidated Copper company announces it will reopen all three shafts of Ahmeek mine. Preparations underway at Ahmeek stamp mill at Hubbell to resume operations. -- April 2, 1936 - Jack L. Byers, of Michigan Technological faculty to take position with Michigan State Highway department. Member of Kappa Delt, assistant coach to Don Sherman, assistant to A. T. Sweet with WPA work. Will be working with J. W. Kushing, member of Lions club of Houghton. -- April 18, 1938 - Slavonic Tamburitza orchestra at Calumet Theater, directed by Matija Gouze. A. L. Piercea speaker, soloists Everett Olson, Gabriel Papagalos, Juraj Vrbanac. Members include Veko Floriani, and Joseph Floriani, sons of Mr. And Mrs, Vladimir Floriani. -- 1935 - Obiturary of Joseph Rule of Calumet and Centennial Heights. Was a member of the Rechabites. Survived by Joseph Rule, Mrs. Richard Trethewey, Mrs, Ernest Stevens, Mrs. William Johns, Mrs, John Paull, Mrs. Fred Willliams.
