Newspaper clippings (Mar. 4 to Mar. 7, 1940), hand written verse, and type written hyms regarding the death of Sarah (Richards) Williams, mother of Wesley Williams. Page is hand numbered ""16"". -- Mar. 4, 1940. Obiturary material for Mrs. Arthur Williams (mother of Wesley Williams who made this scrapbook album). Three obit notices, hymns sung at funeral, quote from deceased. Obits - Mrs. Arthur Williams of Hecla Street, Laurium died. She was born at Cliff mine, moved to Seneca, leaves daughter, Mrs. Thomas A. Allen of Hubbell, and son Wesley of Ahmeek. Services at Thomas funeral chapel with Rev. Robert Richards of Calumet Methodist church, body to be placed in Lakeview vault. Sarah Richards daughter of Captain Jack and Mrs. Richards attended school in Allouez, later taught at Allouez and Allouez Mill. Married to Captain Arthur Williams of Wolverine. Daughter Archie Allen of Hubbell (not the same name as mentioned in other obits), active in church work at Kearsarge and later Calumet. Service by Robert D. Richards, assisted by Rev. and Mrs. J. T. M. Stephens of Dearborn. Hymns - two with words typed out. Quote - Hand titled she wrote as she lived - religious quote hand written on lined paper.
