Description
An accident occurred on the Duluth South Shore and Atlantic Railway near Seney station on the 27th day of August 1887 at 805 o'clock P.M. caused by: Brakeman Austin Hoban when attempting to get on an ore car as train was leaving Seney Water Tank, missing his footing so that foot went inside the rail and wheel passed over it; was taken to hospital at St. Ignance, foot was amputated at the instep; he is getting along nicely. Casualties resulting from the above accident 1 employee injured.
