Description
An accident occurred on the Duluth South Shore and Atlantic Railway at St. Ingance station on the 10th day of September 1887 at 830 o'clock A.M. caused by: Yard engine while backing up from the yard to go on the ore dock with a train of loaded ore cars, at Maloney street crossing a man named Andrew Soloman, alias Crazy John walked in front of the cars and was run over on the right foot and left leg; he was taken to the hospital, the left leg and the toes on the right foot were amputated, he is progressing favorably. Casualties resluting from the above accident 1 person injured.""
