DescriptionAn accident occurred on the DSS&A Railroad, at St. Ignance station on the 10th day of September 1887, at 830 o'clock, a.m. caused by: Yard engine while backing up from the yard to go on the ore dock with a train of loaded ore cars, at Maloney street crossing, a man named andrew Soloman alias Crazy John walked in front of the cars and was run over on the right foot and left leg; he was taken to the hospital, the left leg and the toes on the right foot were amputated; he is progressing favorably. Casualties resulting from the above accident 1 person injured.""
