Description
An accident occurred upon the Duluth South Shore and Atlantic Railway at Dollarville station, on the 16th day of September 1887 at 215 o'clcock A.M. caused by: Freight train westbound coming into collision with rear portion of another westbound freight train at Dollarville station. Night was foggy; forward train sent brakeman with lamp back to signal coming train; it was almost stopped, but being no down grade and cards loaded, they pushed engine forward into rear of proceding train. No person was injured nor track displaced. Caboose and 5 ore cars were thrown from track. Casualties resulting from the above accident - None.
