Description
An accident occurred on the Duluth South Shore and Atlantic Railway at Negaunee station on the 17th day of September 1887 at 530 o'clcok P.M. caused by: Boy named James Canlon jumping on train of ore cars while passing slowly through Negaunee. Missed footing on the board that runs across the bottom frame between the pedestals, foot went inside and while passed over his toes. Foot was dressed by surgeon and 10 days after on the 27th it was healing up and not likely to be a permanent injury. Casualties resulting from the above accident 1 trespasser injured.
