Description
The Iron Horse Reaches the Sault and the Town Goes Wild, the first train on the DSS&A reached Sault Ste Marie today and the whole town is crazy with euthusiasm. The last spike was driven at twleve o'oclock noon amid a salute of 21 guns fired from cannon brought from Fort Brady to the terminus of the road, while the air shook with the cheers of the miltitude of enthusiastic specators. After years of wailing and longing, those who have stuck by the Sault now see their fondest opes realized. There's nothing too good for us tonight, and the toot isn't confied to the domocratic office this time.
