Description
The first train reached the Sault at noon yesterday. The last spike was driven amid the applause of hundreds at the noon hour. A battery of two pieces from For Brady under command of Captain O'neil, was on the ground, and the welcome whistle of the first locamotive to reach Sault Ste Marie was responsded to by a salute of 21 guns.

At last the toot of the locomotive is heard at Sault Ste Marie.
