Description
The last Sunday morning a train, consisting of engines no 9, 32, 54 and 53, and a coach no 9 being ahead and the others following in order as numbered, started from Marquette to plow out the orad. When the switch at the side track leading into the Pioneer furnace at this place is reached, engine no 32 jumped the fog at the switch. Engine no 9 kept the rails and with no. 32 ran nearly 1,000 feet without stopping. Engine no. 54 broke loose at the switch and ran about 100 feet, coming to a stop when alsomost acorss the north track, which is parallel to the one on which the train was running.
