Description
Durning Sunday's blow a tree feel across the track at a place called the Sink Hole, about midway between Champion and Michigamme. The tree was discovered by the track men and the portion of it may lay on the track was removed. In falling, the tree in some manner injured the track, probably by spreading the rails. This was not noticed by the track men. When passenger train number 4 reached the place the next morning, the train was ditiched. The engine, a car loaded with wood and the baggage car was thrown from the track, however no one was injured. The track was cleared in time to allow the mail train to arrive here only a few minutes late."" ""
