DescriptionThe South Shore recieived three magnificient engines, yesterday, the first installment of a lot ordered from the Brooks Locomotive works. The engines have three drivers on a side and are known as the Brooks consolidated. They are very heavy and are largers than any of the old engines, though both the MH&O and the M&W had some very large and powerful engines.
