Description
The story is told with some show of truth, that the tegraph operators between and St. Igance are obliged to keep a thick smoke on their desk in process of formation continually, in order to be able to do their work. They say that the night operator at Soo junction resembles a worker in a characoal kiln when he goes off duty in the morning.
