From information that comes to us from the East, we are compelled to believe that the CPR has secured a controlling interest in the DSS&A and will shortly be placed in possession of the line. It would be idle to speculate on what the effect of this thing will be on the general policy of the road, as the purpose that the purchasers had in view in getting control of this line must remain a matter of conjecture until they choose to reveal it.
