B/W negative showing the south side and rear of the brand new Tom's Southland Mobil Service Station located at 6005 South Westnedge on the southeast corner of South Westnedge and Milham Avenue. The view is looking towards the southwest with the Southland Shopping Plaza visible in the distance. Just across the street is the Southland Citgo Gas Station at 6012 South Westnedge. As of 2005, Tom's Southland Mobil Service Station has been replaced by two restaurants while the Southland Citgo Gas Station has been reused as a candy store and is currently vacant. The Southland Shopping Plaza remains, however it has been greatly altered from this 1968 image.
