Annie Cairns, originally from Scotland, taught English and Family Living at the Hamtramck High School; Stephen A. Majewski, mayor (1926-28), attorney, school board trustee, justice of the peace (1922-26) and Peoples State Bank Board member; Stanley R.Biernacki, police chief and son of Assistant Superintendent of Schools Stanley Biernacki, Sr. who ran the Evening School for the Foreign Born; Robert Braman, Hamtramck High School and Copernicus Junior High School Choral Director; Dave Stober, local clothier and Peoples State Bank Board member and Cass Piotrowski, attorney and Liberty State Bank Board member share memories about life in and administration of the Hamtramck Public School System, including the hiring of Maurice R. Keyworth as Superintendent and a tribute to E.M.Conklin, Principal of Hamtramck High School and Superintendent.
