April 1st. Pleasant, I commenced the year well. Came home from Gus & went with Mother down to Mr. Fairbanks visiting. Apr 2. Gus & Em came down this afternoon & who should come but James. He is the same as ever. Stayed the afternoon & part of the evening. The last visit shall have from Gus before she goes to Ypsi. Apr 3. Sunday. A cold blustering day. Writing all day. 4th This morning Harry called to tell me Gus wanted me to come up this afternoon as James & his sister were to be there.
