Whole paragraphs found to be illegible have been noted in the following manner: [P] But we didn’t get up till breakfast was ready so stayed, & then stayed till school time. [?] have my botany one bit. Was invited with McC---- Stella & Alice to Proff Andersons to tea. Had a very pleasant time. He took us into his study and entertained us highly. Studied till twelve. 28th Went down town & got a letter from home. No school yet. Lydia came up to night. 29th Rain Rain Stella here all the evening. 30th Went down to hear the boys speak. Read after I finished my work in [?]. [?][?] to that essay. This evening went down to the Sherwood society. 31st Sunday. Went to church twice at the Congregational this afternoon. Apr 1st Went down town to night. Writing the essay on Lady Macbeth we are to have in literature class. Have given up [?] Sections & gone into Mrs Stones Literature Class which they are reading the authors of which they have heard. Now they’re reading Camus. 2nd Cold. O it’s just the same Botany’s rather hard both the literatures are easy. To day Proff.
