Photo caption on back from Packard News Service: 1948 Packard, beautiful but strong too, in its development, the just announced 1948 Packard super eight convertible endured every conceivable maltreatment at the Packard Proving Grounds, included among the tests was a continuous high-speed run in of its new 145-horsepower straight eight engine the equivalent of a year's normal mileage, the upholstery is sturdy Bedford cord and a new plastic that has the look and feel of leather but even greater durability, with schedules specifying quantity production in June, the new convertible will supplement the present Clipper line.
