8x10 black and white Packard Co. file photograph of a 1948 Packard three-quarter front right view, parked on dirt road, house with white picket fence in background, man standing at driver's door, female standing off to side. Photo caption on back from Packard News Service: 1948 Packard, Detroit, Sept. 27- Packard's traditional grille lines, which originated in 1904, are not only preserved but enhanced by the "free flow" styling of the three all new Packard eights for 1948, actually a part of the front end design, the grille on the eight (touring sedan shown here), the custom eight and the super eight protects the radiator from damage, besides admitting cool air, the air also enters through the front bumper, whose long arms reach almost from wheel opening to wheel opening.
