Photo caption on back from Packard News Bureau: Packard introduces new Clipper for 1955, this Clipper custom 4-door is one of Packard's new entries in the medium and upper-medium price field for 1955, in addition to all new styling and sleek appearance, Clipper custom models feature torsion level ride, a dramatic new suspension system which eliminates customary coil and leaf springs, but instead uses long torsion bars, interconnecting the front and rear wheels, the Clipper custom is powered by a new 245-horsepower V-8 engine, Packard models, in the luxury car field, have a new V-8 engine with 260-horsepower, both the new Packard and Clipper lines will have their public announcement in dealer showrooms the week of January 17th.
