Photo caption on back from Packard News Bureau: Clipper custom series sedan for 1956, embarking on a styling individuality of its own, the all new 1956 line of Clipper automobiles will go on display in dealer showrooms across the country Friday, November 4, Clipper cars pioneer torsion bar suspension to the medium price field and feature the most powerful V-8 engine in their class, Clipper custom models offer a 270 horsepower V-8 engine of 352-cubic inch displacement which develops 380 foot pounds of torque effort for the rear wheels at 2,800 rpm, highest torque performance in the medium price field, the new Clipper models also feature more than a score major engineering advancements, and innovations which make important contributions to greater safety and ease of motor car operation.
