July 4. I went to church this morning. No regular sermon preached, only communion. Hoyt and Calvin went to Troy yesterday and back today. Hoyt came up on the steps and spoke as pleasant as a basket of chips(?). I wonder if they will dare come to see us now. _____ has gone to his Uncles to work without going to see Gus, too.
