July 24. To night I went down to the village. Frank and Emily went with me. I called on Mary Baynol(?) and Jennie.
Poor Wilson, I am so sorry for him. He had had the ague all day and just got up. He looks so sick and discouraged. I wanted to ask him to come out and visit but of course he did not dare to. I must write and study some yet to night.
