August 10. I am so afraid they will entirely destroy my cypress putting the roof on and it is so handsome now. I always wish someone more could be here to enjoy the pleasures of home. It seems as though there ought to be a bigger family to enjoy the porch this extreme hot weather. I have been swinging to try to cool off.
