To night, strange to say Gus came down for me to go to Birmingham. Of course I went and of course I saw the Posts and of course I saw Wilson and of course everybody saw us. Hoyt was going up to the literary society which meets at Franks. August 12. Went out horseback riding and up to Franks. Had a cool pleasant time. It was so late. August 13.
