Gus, Ellen and Mary Henry(?) spent this afternoon here. I took Ellen down to Birmingham then went home with Gus and staid all night.
September 3. I expected to visit a small company only at Mr. Hills but there was about 40 there. We had a pleasant time very.
September 4. Mother and Father have been away. He is better but looks very frail and poor.
