October 18. Have been here all day with the expectation of going to the Post Office. The mail comes in every other and goes out every day. A letter from Gus must have come for me while Father was gone and perhaps he will mail it. I can get it tomorrow evening. October 19. Here all day again. Went to church this evening to kind of a protracted (?) meeting and came home in the rain. October 20. The wind blew high this morning and the lake roared in anger and tossed its white
