Description
This photograph illustrates how local farmers took produce to market. Here Edmund Couchez and a young boy are riding their wagon hitched to Cydesdale horses behind an automobile down the road. During the late 1800s and early 19002 there were several Couchez families living in St. Clair Shores. The Couchez farm was on Jefferson Avenue near present day Maple Street.
