Description
B/W negative looking northeast up South Pitcher Street in downtown Kalamazoo, Michigan. Eighteen semi-tractor trailor trucks of various makes and models from Hybel's Produce Company, 217 South Pitcher Street, are parked in a row. The old Kalamazoo Central Freight Depot (part of Hybels) can be seen in the background. This image was taken in 1956. As of 2004, Hybels is gone, however, the freight depot is currently undergoing a complete restoration for use by the Stryker Corporation.
