Page is hand numbered ""23"". -- May 21, 1942 - Continuation of article on Calumet Public Schools, mentions William Heath, a carpenter with Calumet & Hecla, and Mr. Whiting, General Manager of Calumet & Hecla. -- Annual C&H picnic -- Obituary of David Trevarrow, of Laurium, was employed by Calumet & Hecla Mining company. Survived by three daughters: mrs. Albert pelland, Mrs. Melvin Treglown and Mrs. Ernest Ennis, three brothers: Wiiliam Trevarrow, John Trevarrow, and Chris Trevarrow. Body wil be taken to Thomas funeral chapel. -- Oct. 11, 1942 - Obituary of James A. Daley, superintendent of Allouez Township schools, Keweenaw county, died in Mohawk. Born in Phoenix, son of Mr. And Mrs, Lawrence Daley, taught in Copper Falls, eagle Harbor and Centennial, promoted Boy Scouts, active in Red Cross, and the Keweenaw County Fair. Manager of the Glaciadom in Mohawk, member of St. Mary's church, and Calumet Lodge of the Elks. Surviving: one son Walter L. daley, one daughter Mrs. Foster J. Beyers, two sisters, Mrs. Frank Long of Eagle River, Mrs, Frank Steck of Calumet, one brother Lawrence Daley. -- Aug. 15, 1942 - Obituary of Henry Trudgeon. Former Calumet resident, was member of the Copper Country Choral Club, and the 107th Engineers, served at Camp Beauregard, Louisiana. Surviving are his wife, the former Lillian Drew, and one daughhter Marion Trudgeon.
